A Bit About Me
Sara Goerres was born in Luxembourg in 1995. After studying Theatre and German philology at the Freie Unversität in Berlin and the Sorbonne in Paris III, she assisted on several productions at different theatres in Luxembourg, including a.o. Poupette by Marie Jung at the Théâtre National du Luxembourg, Madame Köpenick by Guy Helminger, Gipfelstürmer by Calle Fuhr at Kasemattentheater, and Antigone by Jean Anouilh at Théâtre du Centaure, De Geescht oder d'Mumm Séis by Samuel Hamen at Théâtre de la Ville de Luxembourg. In 2021, she directed her first play Y/Z, followed in 2022 by Daydreams and in 2024, she directed Die Katze Eleonore. She also worked with the children's and young people's group at the Théâtre National and still works on theatre projects with children and young people in different schools in Luxembourg. She was the assistant producer and social media manager for the multidisciplinary sound project NIGHTSONGS, part of Esch2022 - European Capital of Culture.
